Our Process
How Estate Planning Works With Clarity
Estate planning feels easier when you know what is going to happen next.
We will talk through your life, your people, your goals, and the decisions you want to make, then turn that conversation into documents that are ready to review, revise, and sign.
From First Conversation To Finished Plan
Schedule A Time To Talk
Start by choosing a time to meet with us. You do not need to complete a long packet before the first conversation or show up already knowing whether you need a will, a trust, or something else.
At this stage, we want to know what brought you here. Maybe something changed in your family. Maybe you bought property. Maybe you have children, pets, a partner, aging parents, or people you want to protect. Maybe this has just been on your list for a while, and today is the day you are finally handling it.
Tell Us About Your Life
Your first meeting is a conversation. We will ask about your family structure, your property, your goals, your comfort level with estate planning, and the questions already sitting in the back of your mind.
We may talk about children, partners, chosen family, pets, healthcare decisions, financial responsibilities, real estate, privacy, probate, and the people you would trust to make decisions if you could not.
You can bring notes. You can bring questions. You can also show up with only a general sense that you need to get a plan together.
Choose The Right Planning Path
After we understand your situation, we will talk through the planning options that may fit.
For some clients, a will-based plan is enough. For others, a trust-based plan may make more sense. We may also discuss powers of attorney, advance directives, guardianship nominations for minor children, pet planning, transfer-on-death deeds, student packages, or document execution options.
We will explain what each document does, why it may matter, and how it works with the rest of your plan. We will not push you into planning tools you do not need.
Review The Agreement And Flat Fee
Before we begin drafting, we will review the scope of work, the attorney-client agreement, and the flat fee for your planning package.
Our goal is to make sure you understand what is included, what happens next, and what we need from you before work begins. Once everything is confirmed, we can move into the details of your plan.
Share The Details We Need
After you decide to work with us, we will gather the information needed to prepare your documents.
That may include names, addresses, family details, property information, trusted decision-makers, beneficiaries, guardians, healthcare agents, trustees, executors, pet caregivers, and any specific wishes you want included.
You do not have to make every decision alone. If you are unsure who should serve in a certain role, we can talk through what that person would actually be responsible for and what qualities may matter most.
We Draft Your Documents
Once we have the information we need, we prepare your estate planning documents.
Depending on your plan, that may include a will, revocable trust, pour-over will, power of attorney, advance directive, deed, guardianship provisions, pet trust, or other planning tools. Each document is drafted to work with the rest of your plan, so your wishes are organized and consistent.
Review Everything Together
When your drafts are ready, we will sit down together to review them.
This is your chance to ask questions, make changes, update choices, and make sure the plan says what you want it to say. We will walk through the documents with you so you understand the key decisions before anything is signed.
Sign Your Plan
Once the documents are final, we will help you complete the signing process properly.
Depending on your planning package and preferences, you may sign in our office, at home, or through another execution option. We will make sure the right witnesses, notary steps, and Georgia signing requirements are handled correctly. After signing, you will receive your original documents. We will also keep digital copies on file.
We will talk about where to store your documents, who should know they exist, and when you may want to review or update your plan in the future.

Let’s Start By Going Through The “Weird” and Uncomfortable Questions
Estate planning brings up real-life questions. Who gets the dog? Who gets access to your accounts? Who should make medical decisions? Who would actually stay calm in an emergency? We can talk about all of it.
A first conversation can give you a better sense of what you need, what decisions are ahead, and what it may take to get your estate plan finished.
